Labbrand Presents at Global Dairy Congress Asia 2018 on Design with Consumer Impact

SINGAPORE, 11 JULY 2018 – Labbrand was invited as key speakers and panelist at Global Dairy Congress Asia 2018 held on June 11-12 in Singapore. Global Dairy Congress Asia is the most influential event for future growth and innovation of the Asian dairy market.

Focusing on the constantly evolving dairy industry, two speakers from Labbrand – Catherine Tsui, Global Design Director and Charlotte Wilkinson, Insights Director at Labbrand Singapore – discussed the challenges and future of design. With the presentation themed “Design with Impact: How Evolving Consumer Behaviors and Market Trends Shape New Ways of Thinking Around Design”, Catherine and Charlotte pointed out that the emphasis of dairy brands has transformed from infant formulas and elder care to premiumisation, capturing the youth and delivering healthy living concepts. The turn in general direction from emphasizing on product itself to brand experience gave inspiration for design to create holistic, integrated brand experiences beyond traditional channels and formats.

Meanwhile, Melyssa Koh, Labbrand’s Managing Director Asia joined the panel discussion about the challenges and opportunities for dairy industry globally. Other than improving the supply and quality of dairy produce, Melyssa touched on the untapped opportunities from the point-of-view of consumer insights.

“While the dairy industry has been around for a long time, consumers’ lifestyle has changed over the years. The way they consume and interact with brands have changed. To stay relevant, brands should not be looking at themselves in isolation, but look at the whole ecosystem. Players should collaborate with partners in the whole value-chain in response to changing consumer behavior.” said Melyssa Koh.
