Brand Alphabetic Naming: Labbrand Creates Alphabetic Name for Renault’s New Crossover KADJAR

Explore the world of brand alphabetic naming with Renault as it unveils its new compact-crossover model, KADJAR, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. As a leading automotive manufacturer with a rich history dating back to 1899, Renault introduces this new addition to its crossovers lineup. With a global presence in 128 countries and three distinct brands—Renault, Dacia, and Renault Samsung Motors—Renault Group continues to make strides in the automotive industry. Delve into the strategic approach to Brand Alphabetic Naming with Renault’s innovative KADJAR model.

Labbrand, a leading China-originated global brand consultancy, worked closely with Renault to create the new brand. Based on the new model’s brand positioning and key attributes, Labbrand developed the alphabetic name KADJAR, which is phonetically coherent with the names of Renault’s other crossovers, Captur and Koleos. The name KADJAR expresses the Renault personality. It is strong and exotic, conveying a sense of agility, energy and lifestyle.

“The name KADJAR carries a sense of surprise; people are not indifferent to it. It fits with the vehicle positioning and the vehicle personality,” according to Cécile Mandonnet-Dupic, Naming Manager at Renault.

“This is the first Renault to be built in China. We’re excited to work with Renault on the alphabetic name development of the new model. We are proud of our contribution to this global brand innovation inspired from our office in Shanghai.” said Vladimir Djurovic, Founder and CEO of Labbrand.

KADJAR is Renault’s first C-segment crossover, designed to answer the needs of families. With a unique look, it is equipped with large glass roof, LED headlights, and 360-degree parking sensors. It benefits from a raft of relevant, intuitive technologies which contribute to an efficient, relaxed, driving experience.
