After 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Marion Navarro, Vice President of Resuron Philippines Corp., built a science-backed skincare brand built on trust and long-term care together with her husband, Redel Navarro, as a means to explore entrepreneurship with early retirement. The couple decided to venture into the skincare business for a compelling reason: their children and their skin issues, Reinier, Summer, and Ryon; who were the inspiration behind the name, Resuron.
In 2024, Resuron Philippines Corp. was founded in Pasig City. The following year, 2025, the company expanded its collaboration with skincare and health specialists.
LABBRAND is delighted to speak with Marion about her perspective on the intersection of dermatology, beauty, and brand-building — to learn more about her insights on how clinical credibility is being reimagined for a new generation of skincare consumers.

THE DERMA-BEAUTY LANDSCAPE:
1. You founded Resuron after 30 years in the pharma industry. What was the specific insight that became your guiding light to establish the brand and business?
The true inspiration behind bringing Resuron to life was the opportunity to share our family’s personal skincare journey with the community. We wanted to offer everyone the exact, science-backed formulations that worked wonders for our own skin to inspire, guide, and help others achieve their healthiest skin.
2. The term “derma-beauty” sits at the intersection of clinical efficacy and sensory pleasure — a space once dominated by pharmaceutical-adjacent brands. How do you define derma-beauty today, and what convinced you that the market needed another entrant i.e. Resuron?
For Resuron, derma-beauty isn’t complicated. It is simply understanding that every skin type, age, and gender has unique needs.
The market is crowded with expensive, pharmaceutical-adjacent brands requiring endless product layering. We entered the space with the aim of simplifying daily routines and to ease the guess work. Guided by dermatologists and scientists, we created high-quality, multitasking skincare sets that deliver clinical results without the heavy price tags. This is true “skinimalism”: simple, straightforward, and sustainable care that builds a routine for a specific age and gender.
CLINICAL CREDIBILITY VS. CONSUMER DESIRE:
3. There’s an inherent tension in derma-beauty: the clinical language of dermatology (actives, percentages, formulation) versus the emotional language of beauty (glow, radiance, self-care). How do you navigate that tension in your brand — in messaging, in packaging design?
We bridge that tension by giving each skincare set its own distinct personality, promise, and targeted formulation. Every Resuron skincare set is customized for a specific life stage, skin concern, and gender as collaborated with licensed dermatologists and formulators:
By matching custom, scientist-backed formulas with minimalist design, we keep premium and science-backed skincare simple, straightforward, and effective for everyone.

4. Derma-beauty is often assumed to be a Western phenomenon, but skin concerns, beauty ideals, and regulatory environments differ dramatically across Asia. How do regional nuances in Asia or the Southeast Asia region reflect in your branding strategy?
Our global strategy is built on regulatory excellence and realistic promises. While Resuron’s formulas are proudly Filipino and derma-guided, we designed them from the ground up to comply with FDA requirements both in the Philippines and across international borders.
By aligning our ingredients with regional standards from day one, we ensure seamless access for our global target markets. We intentionally refuse to over-promise, choosing instead to keep our formulations within strict, acceptable international benchmarks. This ensures our science-backed “skinimalism” delivers safe, compliant, and universal results wherever our consumers are in the world.
BRAND EXPERIENCE & COMMUNITY:
5. Derma-beauty is a crowded category. Legacy pharmacy brands have distribution, indie brands have virality, and dermatologist-founded brands have authority. Where does Resuron sit in that landscape – and what is the one thing you want to be known for?
Resuron sits at the exact intersection of dermatologist-guided authority and family-inspired accessibility.
As a proudly Filipino, science-backed brand, we bypass the cold feel of legacy pharmacy labels and the fleeting trends of viral indie brands. Instead, we deliver deeply personal, budget-friendly 2 or 3-step routines featuring our core glycerin-based soap, alcohol-free toner spray, and 3-in-1 mattifying moisturizer with SPF 40.
The one thing we want to be known for is making true “skinimalism” simple, straightforward, and accessible for every stage of life. We eliminate complex layering and false promises, standing as a trusted global brand delivering high-performance skincare that simply works.
6. What is a brand in derma-beauty that you deeply admire – not necessarily a competitor – and what have you learned from how they’ve built their identity?
We admire some local and international brands (we prefer not to mention) because they have inspired us that clinical, dermatologist-guided skincare anchored in simplicity and trust can be done.
The biggest lesson we’ve learned from them is the power of consistency. And that, we don’t need to chase fleeting viral trends to maintain authority. But by focusing on iconic, straightforward routines, they built a timeless bond of consumer trust that spans generations.
At Resuron, we apply this exact lesson to our “skinimalist” philosophy focusing on uncomplicated, highly effective sets that deliver logic, safety, and enduring results.
7. Derma-beauty consumers are increasingly community-driven. They share routines, review products, and trust peer recommendations over brand advertising. How does community factor into your brand-building strategy, and how do you cultivate it authentically?
Community is the very foundation of Resuron. Because our brand was born from sharing our own family’s personal skincare journey, we view our consumers as an extension of that story.
We cultivate this community authentically by:
By focusing on transparency, we ensure Resuron grows organically through genuine peer trust rather than traditional advertising.
THE FUTURE OF DERMA-BEAUTY & WELLNESS:
8. The wellness and pharma industries are converging – supplements, topicals, devices, tele-health, and dermatologist-led brands all competing for the same consumer. Where do you see derma-beauty fitting into this broader wellness ecosystem?
Derma-beauty is the essential daily anchor of the broader wellness ecosystem. While supplements focus on internal health and devices offer specialized treatments, derma-beauty acts as the accessible, everyday bridge that unifies a consumer’s entire wellness routine.
For Resuron, derma-beauty simplifies this convergence. We translate complex clinical science into straightforward, multitasking topical routines. By focusing on “skinimalism,” we merge the strict authority of pharma with the everyday appeal of wellness, delivering visible skin health that fits effortlessly into a consumer’s daily lifestyle.
9. Sustainability is now an expected factor in beauty, but it sometimes conflicts with the clinical requirements of derma-beauty — preservatives, stability, sterility. How do you communicate sustainability imperatives with the demands of dermatological skincare?
We achieve sustainability through our “skinimalist” philosophy, which directly reduces packaging waste and environmental footprint. By engineering high-performance, multitasking skincare sets, we eliminate the need for excessive bottles and over-complicated regimens, cutting down consumer waste at the source.
We don’t compromise on clinical safety, stability, or sterility. Instead, we balance these demands by focusing on straightforward, resource-efficient packaging and keeping our formulas within strict, globally accepted standards. For Resuron, we advocate true sustainability by creating simple, highly effective products that protect both the skin barrier and the planet without breaking the bank.
10. Where do you see Resuron in the next few years? What would you not compromise to get there?
In the next few years, we see Resuron as a trusted Filipino derma-beauty brand, recognized across international markets for making high-performance “skinimalism” accessible to every age and gender.
To get there, we will never compromise on clinical safety and family-inspired trust. No matter how large we scale, we will stick to rigorous regulatory standards acknowledged locally & abroad and refuse to over-promise, and maintain our pocket-friendly accessibility. We won’t chase over-complicated viral trends at the expense of our commitment to simple, straightforward, and sustainable skincare.
Thank you!
