Born 1982 in Singapore, Gabriel Tan is a multidisciplinary designer who graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) Industrial Design in 2007. Since then, he has held several distinguished roles: he was a Partner at Outofstock Design from 2006 to 2015, founded Gabriel Tan Studio and Studio Antimatter in 2016, and has been a Creative Director of Ariake since 2016. A champion of craft processes, he co-founded Originmade in Porto in 2018, a brand that celebrates and revives the artisanal legacy of European makers. He is also the first Singaporean to work with the furniture world’s largest international names like B&B Italia and Herman Miller.
