The world famous English football league, Manchester United, opened its flagship store at the Venetian Resort Hotel in Macau on 20th February 2008. The store is located at the Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes and is the club's first merchandise store in Asia.
But this flagship store contains more than just football gear; it is also an interactive "Manchester experience". The megastore is 3 levels high— the lower level offers a great selection of Manchester United merchandise, while the upper levels provide customers with an interactive football experience. Here, fans can immerse themselves in the history of the football league, compete against fans from all over Asia, and watch football in a 4D theater. You can also play a “Match the Manager” game where you make decisions for the club and see the results. On the store’s opening day, fans from all over mainland China and Hong Kong waited for hours to catch a glimpse of their favorite Manchester United football stars.
In case it wasn’t already obvious, this new flagship store demonstrates that Manchester United is not only a leading football club, but a successful global brand.
