Home Inns has recently announced the change of its brand name: from Home Inns Hotel Chain to Home Inns Hotel Group. Home Inns also launched its new hotel brand named “Yihe” which targets high-end businessmen.
Home Inns was founded in 2002, and it is well known for providing comfortable, good value for money accommodations throughout China. Thanks to its professional service, comfortable rooms, convenient locations, and reasonable pricing, Home Inns has become the leader in Chinese economical hotel industry.
The name change shows Home Inns intention to build a multi-brands’ group, as well as to extend its service range from just economical hotel to different stars range.
Home Inns has already gained huge success in the “express” hotel industry, and the new hotel brand “Yihe” represents a great innovation in the company’s brand strategy. It differentiates from Home Inns proposition by being positioned as a four-stars hotel that focuses on the high and middle end business people.
Sun Jian, CEO of Home Inns, said that “the foundation of the Group is a new start of Home Inns, and the “Yihe” Hotel is a brand extension of the group which may bring Home Inns with positive profit margin and sound brand fame.”
